My mate Eddie just got into World of Tanks on my recommendation. He's a complete noob, bless him, but he's trying to get better, and to be fair he does listen to advice. When I'm standing behind him yelling instructions into his ear he walks away with the occasional TopGun! The problem is that while he's willing, he doesn't yet have the experience to be able to "read" a battle the way players with more than 5000 games under their belt can. Here's a compilation of some games we played while platooned up today. He might be crap, but he's learning, and even when he's doing nothing substantially useful, I can always exploit his presence to pull off a win.

I've resolved to play at least one Historical Battle every day until I start to get good at it. The flight model is a lot tougher but the credits and xp you get even from doing poorly are equivalent to doing well in Arcade Battles. With practice, if I can do well in Historical Battles, I should be able to turn into a credit and xp grinding monster.
